ELEPHANT MUD LAW OVERVIEW

The criminal justice system on Elephant Mud is very advanced and is always developing and changing. There is a specific hierarchy with each level being responsible for different areas of the laws of the Western Realms.

Wizard Laws
Wizard laws are the basic requirements of the mud, developed and enforced by the members of the Law department and Admin. These laws tend to be common sense, and can be viewed as the rules of game play. ALL players are required to adhere to these laws. Wizards also have their own rules to play by.

Council
Elephant Mud takes pride in its player council. This is a council consisting of up to two representatives from each guild, a leader and a deputy. The leaders are voted in every mud year (3 months) by the members of their relative Guilds, they may then nominate a deputy who will be responsible for their duties if the leader is unavailable.

The council works as an autonomous group of mortals and is given the freedom to develope their own laws and enforce them how they see fit. Wizard involvement with council issues is limited, to ensure that this is a player council, decided on by players, for players.

Important changes were made to the Bounty System during May, so do wander over here and take a look.

Guild Leaders and Deputies
Guild leaders are voted in by the members of their respective guilds and their duty is to not only represent their guild on Council, but to also provide a link between the mortals and the wizards. They are responsible for the internal issues of their guild and should be a players first port of call if there are any queries or problems. Wanna know who is on Council at the moment? Why then wander over here...
